Cast have worked with Kreo to develop a bespoke solution that has been invaluable in both improving the software and our cost management process driven outputs.

As a cost consultant the time spent quantifying construction works has been reduced through various measurement tools and functions such as Auto Measure, AI Suggest, Assemblies Databases and Take-off Reports. This time reduction allows us to focus on driving value for clients.

Prior to our involvement with Kreo, our cost planning & quantification process was long and laborious. Instead of focusing time adding value for our clients, by targeting efficiencies, benchmarking, and value engineering project, more time was spent getting an initial cost to the client.

Cast then began collectively working with Kreo by guiding them through the lifecycle of costing documents from an Order of Cost Estimate to a Stage 4 Cost Plan, with a focus on different uses such as build to rent, later living and student accommodations.

Cast outlined the level of information received at each stage as well as providing examples of OCE’s and Stage 2-4 Cost Plans. Through numerous workshops and discussions Cast and Kreo weere able to identify opportunities to produce cost plans in a more time effective and accurate method, for example the implementation of efficient tools and functionality as well as the newly incorporated items and assembly features.

Cast and Kreo are working together in developing the items and assembly tools to have a data base of measurement information which will create a universal step-by-step way of producing cost plans.

These tools have and will further enable us to offer higher quality cost advise in a shorter period which enables us to deliver better outcomes for our clients.

Our relationship with Kreo has enabled us mutually to benefit from an exchange of ideas that allows our measurement capabilities to modernise, whilst simultaneously advising Kreo on our usability and accuracy of the software.

This has allowed our businesses to become much more productive as a result.
