Who can apply

Applications are accepted from faculty only.We do not process requests from individual students — if you’re a student, please send this page to your lecturer or programme leader.

You run a module that involves measurement, estimating or cost planning. You apply on behalf of your students and stay the named contact for the cohort.

Whole-programme rollouts across several year groups, with a shared assemblies database and project templates configured around your curriculum.

Kreo is a remarkable tool that is transforming the construction takeoff and estimating process. At Arizona State University, we prioritize teaching cutting-edge technologies, and Kreo has been instrumental in enhancing our training and research. Our students consistently praise Kreo for its speed, accuracy, and ease of use. The Kreo team is exceptional—helpful, innovative, and truly pushing the industry forward!

What your students get

The full commercial platform — the same tools estimators and quantity surveyors use on live tenders, not a cut-down academic build.

Upload a PDF and Kreo measures areas, lengths, counts, doors, windows and walls automatically — students check and adjust instead of tracing every line by hand.

Students ask questions about a drawing in plain English. Caddie reads the plans, runs the takeoff and explains its reasoning — useful for showing measurement logic rather than just the answer.

Scaling, layers, custom measurement types, colour-coded markups and revision comparison. The same toolset professional estimators use on live tenders.

Attach materials, labour rates and formulas to your measurements so quantities turn straight into a priced bill — exactly how a real cost plan is put together.

Generate BoQ-style reports and export to Excel for coursework, dissertations, competition entries and portfolio submissions — with the measurement logic behind every number.

Kreo runs in the browser. Nothing to install on lab machines, no licence keys to manage, no version drift between the lab and a student's own laptop.

How it works

From application to a fully provisioned cohort, usually inside a week.

1

You apply

A lecturer or programme lead submits the form below with the course, cohort size and term dates.

2

We review and call

A 20-minute call to confirm eligibility, agree a rollout date and walk through the platform. We can join a lecture to introduce it if that helps.

3

Your cohort goes live

We provision every student account, set up your shared database and hand over teaching materials before the module starts.

Programme terms

The full conditions, stated plainly. If your course meets these, you are in.

Accredited institutions in the United States and Europe running construction management, quantity surveying, building surveying, civil or structural engineering, architecture or architectural technology programmes.

The application must come from a lecturer, programme leader, head of department or course administrator using an institutional email address. One named faculty contact stays responsible for the cohort.

The standard programme covers groups of 10 students or more. Smaller groups are welcome to apply — we review them individually.

Full platform access for every student and staff member on the course. No fee, no card, no seat cap, no automatic conversion to a paid plan. Renewed on request each September.

Licences cover teaching, coursework, dissertations and academic research. Commercial or consultancy work carried out by staff or students is not covered and needs a separate commercial licence.

A named faculty contact, a short feedback session at the end of the term, and permission to name your institution as an education partner. That is the entire list.

Education FAQ

What lecturers and department heads ask us most.

  • Can students apply directly?

No. Applications are accepted from faculty only — a lecturer, programme leader or department administrator. It keeps verification simple and means we set up the whole cohort at once instead of one account at a time. If you are a student, forward this page to your course leader.

  • What does it cost the institution?

Nothing. No licence fee, no per-seat charge, no minimum spend and no procurement process. The programme is free for accredited courses that meet the terms above.

  • How many students can I include?

There is no upper limit. The standard programme starts from 10 students; we have provisioned cohorts of several hundred spanning multiple year groups within one department.

  • What do you provide besides the software?

Onboarding for your students, a starter set of drawings and worked examples, a shared assemblies database configured around your curriculum, and a guest lecture or live walkthrough if you want one.

  • What happens at the end of the academic year?

Access renews on request each September — one email from your faculty contact. Student projects stay accessible, and graduating students can move onto a discounted graduate rate if they want to keep using Kreo at work.

  • Can staff use it for consultancy work?

No. Education licences cover teaching, coursework, dissertations and academic research. If your department carries out paid consultancy, that needs a commercial licence — tell us and we will quote separately.
