Today's update introduces a powerful suite of tools designed to enhance your documentation, streamline collaboration, and expand your data interoperability. We're rolling out new ways to comment, more control over your exports, and a crucial new format for sharing your takeoff data. This release is focused on helping you communicate your project details with greater clarity and precision, and so much more.
New "Callout" Commenting Tool
You can now add detailed, leader-line-style comments directly onto your drawings. The new Callout tool is perfect for highlighting specific details, creating clear annotations, and ensuring your team sees exactly what you're referencing, improving communication and reducing errors.
To use the new tool, navigate to the Commenting panel on the right-hand side of the viewer, select the "Callout" icon, and click anywhere on the drawing to place your note.
Include Comments in PDF Exports

You can now embed all your comments directly into your exported PDF files. This creates a comprehensive record of all annotations, questions, and clarifications, making it easier to share detailed drawings with stakeholders who are not on the Kreo platform.
To save your comments, simply check the "Include comments" box in the Export to PDF settings before downloading your file.
Rotate Drawings

You can now quickly and easily rotate any drawing directly within the viewer. If a drawing has been uploaded with the wrong orientation, you no longer need to fix it externally and re-upload.
To rotate a drawing, right-click on the drawing tab and select either "Rotate Left" or "Rotate Right" from the context menu.
Copy and Paste Cell Styles
You can now copy not just the text but also the styling of cells within your spreadsheets. This helps you maintain consistent formatting across your reports and documents, saving time and ensuring a professional look.
Ctrl+C
andCtrl+V
: Copies both the cell content and its styling.Ctrl+Shift+V
: Pastes only the plain text without any styling.
Export Measurements to IFC

You can now export your takeoff measurements directly to the IFC format, enabling seamless integration with BIM models and other design software. This powerful feature allows you to classify your takeoff groups as standard building objects (Walls, Slabs, Spaces, Doors, or Windows) for greater interoperability.
To export, select a measurement group, choose the appropriate object type, and use the export function. This feature is available for trial users and as a premium add-on. Please contact our team to request a free trial.
Platform Enhancements & Bug Fixes
In addition to these new features, we have resolved an issue where duplicating a nested Item or Assembly would place the copy in the root folder instead of the original parent folder. We have also implemented numerous performance enhancements and bug fixes to make your Kreo experience smoother and more reliable.
That's all for today. We're excited to help you build better. We'll be back soon to lay the foundation for even more powerful features.
